If you are keen to protect your code and your assets Obfuscation is a word you should learn, no matter if you are doing Silverlight or XNA Projects. Obfuscation is a technique to make it hard for people to break open your compiled code and copy all your hard work, it does this by wrapping your project in another layer that only exposes just enough to make the project runnable.
In my original post here “Is my XNA game dead yet?”, I covered most of the basics of tombstoning, that being the process of what happens to your app or game during it is life on the Windows Phone.
Right on the heals of the last post detailing the Silverlight WCF service library for the Scoreboard service (formally known as the leaderboard service), here is a sample Silverlight application consuming that service to manage the Scoreboards on there. It implements all but the Register Leaderboard WCF method in the service.
Well at the behest of Michael B McLaughlin (@MikeBMCL on Twitter), Here’s a run down of what you need to know to get WCF working on the Windows Phone 7, both for Silverlight and XNA. this is just going to be a brief overview and the full detail will be included in the LeaderBoard sample for Silverlight and XNA coming soon.
